In our Pre-school 2 Room, our practitioners plan daily activities to reflect the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum which will follow your child through to the end of their Reception Year at school.
Our Pre School 2 room has many exciting themed areas to promote the children’s interests. The children are able to explore these different themed areas and have the opportunity to learn at every turn, including early reading and maths skills, mark-making, imaginative play and ICT. The balance of teaching, play and a rich learning environment means children are equipped with everything they need to build all the characteristics of effective learning to help them through their final year before school.
Pre-school children have a skilled approach to play and exploration. Their role play and social interaction, are important in helping them understand the world. We are constantly supporting each child’s learning, through their interests, enquiries and investigations.
Our team of skilled practitioners will follow the children’s pace and focus of the activities that interest them whilst providing the support needed to let them test their ideas, theories and understanding and to scaffold and support new learning.
Children within our Pre School 2 room are entitled to 15 hours government funding or 30 hours government funding. This is available to children the school term after they turn 3 years old. To check if you are eligible for the 30 hours government funding please click on the link below.
